IN-PERSON (Zoom Live) TRAININGS:
Our in person trainings (Zoom live) meet 4 hours weekly for three weeks. The goal of the training is to focus on the what, why, and how of passing the MFT Law and Ethics Examination. These are systematic weekly trainings that will assist you in strategizing, studying, and relaxing into the test. We cover CAMFT, NASW, and ACA Ethical codes.
You will understand Confidentiality and Exceptions to Confidentiality, Privilege, Consent, and Professional Practice. We have practice questions and scenarios that will stimulate what you have already learned! If you join an in person training you have the support of others in the group that may be experiencing the same anxiety and anticipation as you. Don’t do this alone, come join us! This training is appropriate for Associate Marriage Family Therapists, Associate Professional Counselors, and Associate Social Workers. Trainees that are soon to become Associates are also encouraged to sign up.

SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Our Online trainings allow you to work at your own pace! We have videos, PowerPoint, and recordings of all material used for the In-person trainings. Access to material for 3 months.

Darlene Davis is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is the Executive Director for HOPE Counseling Center where she supervises trainees and associates. She has been teaching masters level students in counseling for over 16 years and loves guiding clinicians through legal and ethical issues they may experience. She is known as “the one to go to” in the Sacramento area for Law and Ethics information and wrote for the monthly “Legal Beagle” newsletter for the Sacramento Valley Chapter of CAMFT. She has served on the CAMFT Ethics Committee. She is an Expert Consultant for the Board of Behavioral Sciences. She also has a successful private practice where she serves individuals, couples, and families in living the life they desire.
